Comments

The cortex of the adrenal gland is intact around the tumor, which is situated in the medulla. The tumor nuclei are slightly pleomorphic, lying in an eosinophilic matrix of neuropil, and with a lobular appearance due to small vessels. The typical organization of nuclei in rosettes is seen. Mature ganglion cells are not found.
