3. Apical long axis view

From the 2 chamber view, we can rotate the probe another 60 degrees. The image we then see is called the apical long axis view or 3 chamber view. Here we can see the anterior part of the septum and the posterior part of the lateral wall. From this view we can evaluate the contractions and search for infarctions in this part of the ventricles.
