Overview of the ductus deferens. The lumen is small, and you see the purple epithelium facing the lumen. Outside the epithelium you see a light layer, and that is the lamina propria. The thick, pinkish layer outside the lamina propria is smooth muscle - tunica muscularis. The  outermost layer is the tunica adventitia (connective tissue).
