Definition of nutritional antioxidant:

Requirements for a biological antioxidant
- Absorbed through intestine
- Transported to site of action
- Low toxicity
Main diet-dependent ones:
- Vitamin E (lipid soluble)
- Vitamin C (water soluble)
Also copper, selenium, zinc, manganese, and iron are required for antioxidant enzymes.
